Conozca Canada 2005 took place in Mexico City and Morelia October 5 to 8, 2005.
Conozca Canada is the CTC's marketplace in Mexico City. The 2005 edition surpassed that of 2004 in attendance.
On of the highlights was the report on the CTC Mexico -Travel Alberta - Banff Lake Louise "Rebelde" project. Rebelde is the #1 show in Mexican TV.
After two days in Mexico to attend an event with Mexican media, meet with the retail travel trade and the opening gala, delegates traveled to Morelia.
Under the beautiful Michoacan skies, delegates of Conozca Canada participated in the one-on-one meetings with Mexican operators.
The one-on-one sessions took place in a 17/18th century former convent in a quiet town near Morelia city.
The increased attendance shows growing interest in this market of more than 30 million potential tourists to Canada (all within 3 to 5 hour flights)
